[TechWorld News = Reporter Park Ji-sung] The Korea Nanotechnology Research Institute announced that it will host the “2023 Outstanding Technology Commercialization Case Presentation for the Gyeonggi-do System Semiconductor OSAT R&D Support Project” on the 8th.
This event is organized by the Korea Nanotechnology Research Institute and hosted by Gyeonggi-do Province and the Korea Startup Promotion Agency. Participating companies in the “Gyeonggi-do System Semiconductor OSAT R&D Support Project,” as well as tenant and graduated companies from the “Nano One-person Creative Enterprise Support Center,” along with other participants of the institute's 2023 corporate support programs, will attend. The event aims to serve as a networking venue to strengthen the capabilities of technology commercialization and promote open innovation growth through the sharing of development achievements and successful commercialization cases from promising nano and system semiconductor companies in the province.
The presentation will feature “Development of GaN on SiC HEMT Epitaxial Wafer Technology for High-Frequency Power Semiconductors” (Han Young-hoon, Senior Researcher, WaveLoad Co., Ltd.), “Development of an Interaction Module Including Wearable Multi-Composite Sensors (Optimized for Fire and Disaster Environments)” (Han Dong-hoon, Head of Research Institute, Everhen Co., Ltd.), “Autonomous Sterilization Robot Equipped with a 222nm UV-C LED Module Harmless to Humans” (Chae Doo-hyun, CEO, Advance Solution), “Integrated Platform for Extracting Device Model Parameters Linking Nano-Fab and Fabless” (Kim Dae-yong, CEO, CYF Co., Ltd.), “Semiconductor ALD Equipment Coating Technology and Next-Generation Battery” (Bae Chang-deuk, CEO, BILab Co., Ltd.)
The Korea Nanotechnology Research Institute’s “One-person Creative Enterprise Support Center” has been operated since 2014 with support from Gyeonggi-do Province and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It was recognized as an excellent support center with an S-grade rating in 2022, and in 2023, it was designated as a semiconductor-specialized center. The center is expected to attract a more diverse range of one-person preliminary entrepreneurs and creative enterprises in the Gyeonggi region through its specialized education and seminars.
Seo Kwang-seok, President of the Korea Nanotechnology Research Institute, stated, “We will use the 2023 Outstanding Technology Commercialization Case Presentation as an opportunity to share the development achievements and commercialization cases of participating companies in the system semiconductor OSAT field. We will strive to make this a venue for communication and growth that strengthens technological competitiveness and promotes commercialization by establishing an advanced nanotechnology infrastructure cooperation system.”
